Counting Down in the Grapevine

New Year’s Eve 2013 at the 3 day Rhythm and Vines festival in Gisborne, New Zealand.

One of the only music festivals held in a vineyard.

First place in the world to see the sun rise (and bring in the New Year).

Last place to stop partying.

  1. Pretty wild, Yen and Harold, but I can imagine a great way to ring in the new year! You look like you’re having a lot of fun. Happy New Year to you both!

We got a nice blanket of snow today – I did one round of shoveling and will do another tomorrow morning. It’s very pretty and very cold – even Bandit won’t go outside – he goes to the door, takes a step outside, and then turns and runs back inside. Wonder how Coco is fariing…. Would be great to go skiing – thinking of you today and your snowboarding. The slopes will be crowded tomorrow.

Take care — and keep sending the posts!!

    1. Yes, it was definitely a NYE to remember. I thought that it was pretty ingenious to celebrate in the natural setting of a vineyard, but we didn’t expect it to get so cold at night – being in the valley brought on some extreme temperatures.

Still, it’s not as frosty as it is VA and I did hear yesterday that you guys were snowed in! All the best things like boarding, hot choc, misshapen snowmen and fuzzy socks come to mind.

Thanks for checking in and stay warm Linda!
