For as little as $1 per day, we rented a campervan as part of a relocation deal with Apollo. We had to take it from Christchurch to Auckland within five days, but it comes with free insurance, one tank of gas, and free ferry transfer for the vehicle and driver. Sounds too good to be true? We thought so, too, but went ahead and signed some teeny tiny fine print just to gape at how awesome it looked on the inside. Fully kitted out, there’s a kitchen, bathroom/shower, dining table/bed, appliances, toiletries, etc. for all your motorhome needs.
Harold drove for the entire duration of our trip in North Island (1500 miles give or take) given my aversion to large vehicles and perhaps driving in general. A little ways beyond Wellington, we had our first stopover in Kapiti Coast. After falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves, I got to wake up to this view. Not bad ay?
