We went to Dunedin this past week to see Aerosmith in all of their rocking glory. It was definitely amazing to see one of the biggest rock groups in history perform many of my favorite songs with perfect vocal and instrumental harmony. I’d heard before that they were great performers, and after seeing them I can satisfyingly say they didn’t disappoint. It’s still hard to believe that a band could sound even better live than they do on my iPod.
Steven Tyler sizzled the stage as he sang classic titles like, “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing,” “Walk this Way,” and “Dream On.” Drummer, Joey Kramer, brought the stadium down with his drum solo. After he threw his sticks into the crowd, he continued to beat the hell out of his drum set with his head and elbows. Legendary lead guitarist, Joe Perry, electrified the stage with his excellent guitar playing.
Their energy had the crowd pumped and going crazy all night. It was lively from the beginning when Steven magically appeared out of smoke on stage, to the end that exploded in a spectacular display of lights and confetti. This for me, had to have been one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to.
