Flying from Washington, D.C. to New Zealand takes some time. Luckily, our trip included airplane peanuts and an extra long connection in Australia. Having slept like Tetris blocks for the past 12 hours, we stretched out our legs and spent the next 12 hours exploring Sydney. An obligatory stop at the iconic Opera House led to a lovely stroll in the Royal Botanic Gardens. As we walked over to the Harbour Bridge, it was hard not to notice how fit everyone looked. This became even more obvious downtown when we spotted surprisingly well-tailored dress pants flattering a fair amount of smart behinds. From there, it was a fun goal getting lost in the city, being underground, and winding up with curry dinner in Hyde Park. Before we knew it, the rail whisked us away from the city and had us back in the airport for our last flight to Christchurch.
